Fee and Billing Arrangements
Bulk Bill- All patients that have a valid Medicare Card may be Bulk Billed at Doctor's discretion and they won’t be charged for the consultation.
Veterans Affairs- Patients that have this card will be Bulk Billed.
Private Patients- Patients that don’t have a Medicare card can’t be bulk billed. They will have to pay cash after seeing the doctor. The fees will be:
New Patient Consultation- $100
Standard consultation without medicare- $60
Long consultation- $70
Weekends Standard- $60
Weekend Long- $100
Workcover- Patients claiming for Workcover must give a claim number and
Employer details to reception before the consultation. If they don’t supply the details, the patient will have to pay. Workcover can’t be bulk billed to Medicare.
Procedures- All procedures are not included in the bulk billed consultation and may cost the patient up to $150 out of pocket expenses.
Seek further clarification from doctor, if you need any procedure done.
Other- Non-Government funded injections, Centre link Forms etc. may have an out of pocket expense for the patient. Medicare do not bulk bill for these forms anymore and therefore they are not able to be claimed back. VIC Roads medical forms are the only forms that are bulk billed.

Privacy
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is in the best interest of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times. For more information, feel free to ask the receptionist for a copy of our Privacy Policy book.
Prescription
If you require a prescription, you will need to make an appointment to allow the doctor to review your condition.
Patients can pick up prescriptions without seeing the doctor if the doctor has previously agreed to this.
Repeat scripts will only be given for ongoing medication eg. Asthma, blood pressure.
Our Policy on Drugs of Addiction
Drugs of Addiction e.g.: Benzodiazepines, Valium, Oxcycontin etc. will not be prescribed by the doctor except in the ‘rarest’ of circumstances (e.g. chronic disease, terminal illness).
Medical Certificates
We are not able to backdate medical certificates. Please ask for them on the day that you see the doctor.
Test Results
The doctor will require you to attend a follow up appointment for test results. The receptionist will do reminder calls/letters on behalf of the doctor for non-urgent appointments.
You will be notified as soon as possible by the doctor if results are urgent.
Calling the Doctor
Patients are able to call the doctor if necessary, however, they will only take the call in between patients or if they’re not busy. The receptionist may ask you to call back or to wait for a return call from the doctor.
Parking
There is availability for parking at the front and rear of the building as well as disabled parking at Sana Medical Centre.
